About Me
What are your talents?
I would consider myself talented in cooking and athletics. Both of these come fairly naturally to me, allowing me to pick up some recipes, techniques, and sports somewhat easily, but I wouldn’t be able to improve on any of them unless I worked hard. What do you enjoy doing? I love playing and coaching soccer. Being able to do something I love all year round is truly a blessing, but it’s even better when I’m able to share it with others through volunteering and helping the younger players in my club. What skill or talent would you like to improve? I would really like to improve my leadership and discipline skills. These are both skills that will be necessary in any future sport or job I wish to do, and having the opportunity to enhance them at any point in time can only be beneficial to me. What are you already doing that could be part of your CAS programme? Volunteering to help coach younger soccer players and assisting coaches at my club is something that I believe would be able to influence my CAS programme What would you like to be involved in? I would like to be more involved with the student council and with school events. However, with my busy schedule, It would be a challenge to balance everything at once, but I’m always up for a challenge. Describe a time when you helped someone or helped with a cause. In the past, I’ve often volunteered at the Royal Oak Shrine Fish Fry during the winter months. I’m not necessarily a religious person but it started out as a service opportunity for when I was enrolled in the Shrine catechism program, but it ended up becoming a fun experience where the joy of helping others was the only reward I needed. Describe a time when someone helped you. With my journey in soccer, my dad has been a major help for me in exposure and improvement. He has motivated me to train even when I don’t feel like it and to always push towards my goals. He’s also been the first person to contact coaches and teams when I’m looking to move on up in my career, and he’s always been there for me. What issues do you have concern or feel most passionate about? I’m quite passionate about environmental sustainability, and government resposnibility. I want to help create a future that will be sustainable for me, my friends, and my family both socially and environmentally. What would you like to learn more about? I would love to learn more about sports, history, and music outside of the United States, as I’d love to become more open minded to other cultures and customs. What have you always wanted to try but haven’t? I have always wanted to try windsurfing because I already have a great connection with the sea, and I love fast pased, adrenaline rushing activities, so I think this would be a great experience for me. |
